[20160220] The SWIPE project was presented at the SENSORNETS 2016 conference, held in Rome, 19-21 February 2016, during the "European Project Space" sessions. [20160117] The SWIPE 3nd (and final) Technical Review meeting (TR3) was held in Lisbon, Portugal, on the 15th January, 2016. The SWIPE consortium presented the results of the tests and demonstrations performed in the 3rd reporting period. Dissemination of the final project results will be carried out soon, also providing material through the SWIPE website, by means of scientific publications and presentations to conferences and events. [20151220] A SWIPE team went to Svalbard islands to test the SWIPE nodes. Although weather conditions were difficult (snowstorms with wind at more than 150km/h) they managed to successfully perform some demonstration tests. [20151025] The SWIPE project will be presented during the 5th International Conference on sensor Networks (SENSORNETS 2016), which will be held in Rome, Italy, 19-21 february 2016 (http://www.sensornets.org/RDCommunity.aspx) [20151020] Two SWIPE papers:
have been presented in the 66th International Astronautical Congress, held in Jerusalem, Israel on the 12th–16th October 2015. See the Dissemination section for further details. [20150427] Two abstracts have been accepted for oral presentations within the 66th International Astronautical Congress, to be held in Jerusalem, Israel on the 12th–16th October 2015. The full paper will be uploaded on the IAF website before the 24th of September 2015. [20150327] The integration of the first SWIPE node hardware prototype has been concluded successfully. Functional tests and interface verification have been carried out during the process and the system is now ready to be replicated. The manufacturing and integration of the remaining SWIPE nodes for the validation campaigns will now begin. [20150317] The SWIPE consortium has submitted two abstracts to the 66th International Astronautical Congress (IAC 2015, http://www.iac2015.org/), to be held in Jerusalem, Israel, on the 12th-16th October, 2015. The abstracts are focused on the presentation of the main results of SWIPE, in terms of node manufacturing, WSN design and laboratory tests/demonstration trials. [20141209] The SWIPE 2nd Technical Review meeting (TR2) was held in Brussels, Belgium, on the 28th November, 2014. The SWIPE consortium presented the results of the project obtained in the 2nd reporting period. In particular, the hardware design and the network/data fusion algorithms were presented (results of deliverables of WP4 and WP5). Dissemination of those results will be carried out soon, also providing material through the SWIPE website, by means of scientific publications and presentations to conferences and events. [20141110] The SWIPE 2nd Technical Review meeting (TR2) will be held in Brussels, Belgium, on the 28th November, 2014. [20140905] T. Vladimirova (ULEIC), X. Zhai (ULEIC), H. Jing (ULEIC), G. Oddi (CRAT) and F. Liberati (CRAT) presented the following three papers in the context of the 2014 NASA/ESA Conference on Adaptive Hardware and Systems (AHS-2014), held on July 14 - 17, in Leicester, UK:
[20140701] The SWIPE 1st Technical Review meeting (TR1) was held in Brussels, Belgium on the 21st May, 2014. [20140409] Deliverables "D2.2 - System Requirements Document" and "D2.3 - Deployment strategies tailoring to SWIPE scenarios" are available at: http://swipe.tekever.com/file-cabinet/public-deliverables. [20140303] The SWIPE Second Progress meeting was held in Lisbon, on the 18th-19th February, 2014, at the TEKEVER premises (Rua das Musas, 3.30, 1990-113 Lisboa, Portugal). The main objectives of the progress meeting were to finalize the architectures of SWIPE, kick off the optimization tasks (routing and data fusion) and evaluate next dissemination opportunities. A photo, including some of the participants to the meeting, is reported hereafter. [20140107] Dr. G. Oddi (CRAT) participated to the official Infoday for the 1st Space Call in Horizon 2020, held in Brussels the 11th - 12th December 2013. This event was an opportunity for networking activities with stakeholders interested in the SWIPE concept and technologies. [20131119] The registration to the official Infoday for the 1st Space Call in Horizon 2020 (to be held in Brussels, 11th - 12th December 2013) is available at http://www.b2match.eu/h2020spacetour/pages/brussels. [20131104] An official Infoday for the 1st Space Call in Horizon 2020 will be held in Brussels, 11th - 12th December 2013.
